It’s easy to believe you’re a horrible, awful, and just plain out bad person. Especially in today’s day and age. It’s easy to think there is something wrong with you. You can’t do a single thing without upsetting somebody today, you can’t smile without upsetting another man. Have you ever tried walking into a coffee shop on a cold day and ordering the coldest drink possible? (I have)  The looks the barista gives you are the questionable kind.

I’m a horrible person because I’m simply being human. Right?

Wrong.

I’m not horrible, and I never should believe I am. I may do things that aren’t always good, and I may even do things I regret. But that does not stain my soul, it does not make me bad, horrible, awful or any of those things. I am learning from my mistakes. And that is what keeps me good.

Because if I’m horrible, it probably means there are others who are horrible too. And they aren’t bad either. In fact they’re wonderful.

Never call a name unless you want it echoed back to you.
